Equine Facilitated Learning allows students to have a structure to their educational program whilst having the ability to be flexible and adapted with ease to ensure the transition is done without any complications arising. Allowing the adaptable and yet predicted timetable takes considerable attention to detail and empathy ensuring each session is tailored to suit the individual so they can grow not only in confidence and self esteem but build resilience and valuable life skills
throughout their educational journey.
The object of equine learning is to allow the students to learn from many subjects within the National Curriculum via equine studies whist installing valuable life skills. Many students struggle in an indoor classroom environment yet thrive during alternative schooling work with the equine team. This allows students to overcome anxiety and stress, whist growing in
confidence and self worth.
Subjects covered include English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Physical Education, Art, Home Economics, Design & Realisation, Photography, Mindfulness & Wellbeing (including essential life skills), Animal Husbandry and Stable Management.
